How we began
JSpenser Agriculture & Sustainability was founded in 2024 by Jonathan Spenser as the next chapter in a journey spanning decades in agricultural strategy, planning, and rural development.
Before launching JSpenser, Jonathan co-founded and led Terraverde, a globally recognized consultancy that delivered agricultural development and sustainability solutions across more than 35 countries. Through this work, he supported governments, financial institutions, and private investors in designing and implementing large-scale agricultural systems rooted in innovation, economic logic, and environmental responsibility.
JSpenser was created to take that expertise a step further, offering a more agile, focused, and hands-on approach. Built on the belief that agriculture is not just about production, but about people, land, and long-term prosperity, JSpenser was established to help clients turn ambitious visions into practical, sustainable success.
